Lemon Drops is also known as Toothache Plant. It has attractive yellow and red cone-shaped flowers. The leaves are similar to Echinacea, which is known to improve digestion, help nausea, and enhance the immune system. The name is derived from the numbing properties when the leaves and flowers are chewed. It has been used by many herbalists for toothaches. It is a tender perennial but can be grown as an annual in most areas. Bumble bees and butterflies are attracted to the flowers. Edible Flowers: Flowers, which have a spicy and citrus-like flavor, can be used as a garnish on ice cream and drinks.
