Yellow Eyed Grass grows at the edge of bogs and in moist grasslands. This unique perennial is not really a grass, but is a cousin of the garden iris. Bright yellow, starry flowers appear above the grassy foliage from spring through early summer. Flowers will appear sporadically through the summer months if it is happy in its location. Native to the west coast from British Columbia to California. Hummingbirds, butterflies and seed-eating birds are attracted to its flowers.
