Moneywort – Trailing Submerged Pond Plant with Blue Flowers

Versatile Aquatic Plant for Submerged Growth, Bog Areas, and Surface Coverage

Moneywort is a versatile aquatic plant that can be grown as a submerged oxygenator or as an emergent bog plant rooted in shallow water. Featuring glossy, oblong leaves, it produces small, fragrant blue flowers during the summer, adding subtle color and charm to your pond. This fast-growing plant can reach the surface and form a lush carpet across the water, helping provide coverage and improve pond balance. Thriving in full sun to partial shade and water depths from 1 to 24 inches, Moneywort is ideal for ponds, water gardens, and natural aquatic landscapes. Best suited for warm climates (zones 11–12), it’s an excellent choice for adding texture, coverage, and seasonal blooms to your water feature.
