
Arrowhead | Sagittaria latifolia
Arrowhead is a native North American plant with dark green leaves and produces a white flower all summer. It grows 12-24 inches tall and is well suited for any size water garden. Wildlife favorite. Fertilize often as it is a heavy feeder.
Arrowhead grows best in full sun to part shade with shallow water (up to 6 inches) over the roots or in moist, soil. Plants will naturalize by corm or self seed. Plants flower more when planted in full sun. Plant in wide containers (minimum 10 inches in diameter) using heavy soil and place in the pond with 3 to 6 inches of water above the soil. If planting in a natural pond, you can plant in 3" of water along the bank.
Grows by runners and will set corms in the fall. Plants will grow from the corms the following spring.
