We do our best to ship orders within 1-5 business days of when you place your order. During the winter months and early spring, orders are held until "zone appropriate". Check the shipping schedule below for an approximate date as to when your order will be shipped. If you would like your order shipped immediately, please add a note in the comment section when checking out, "SHIP NOW" and we will ship as soon as possible as long as the plants ordered are available and ready to ship. If your order is placed at the end of the week, it will be held until the following week to ensure the plants do not sit over the weekend in transit. All orders are shipped Monday through Wednesday to ensure that the plants arrive healthy. We must have your order placed by Tuesday 11:00 AM EST in order to ship that week, unless special arrangements can be made. Your plant order will be shipped according to transit time, so it will arrive to you without sitting on a truck or in a warehouse over the weekend.
Most pond plants are sent 2-3 day USPS Priority Mail unless you choose one of the FED EX options. USPS Priority Mail is not guaranteed to arrive in 2-3 days. Please consider this when choosing your shipping option. Live orders are sent at the beginning of each week to get across the country before the weekend. Live orders go out Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. Plants usually arrive in 2-3 days when shipped via USPS Priority Mail. However, we do not guarantee that they will arrive in two days when shipped via the postal service. Only orders shipped via FED EX are guaranteed arrival. Orders must be placed by Tuesday 7 AM eastern time to ship the same week unless special arrangements are made. Some plant orders will switch to FedEx in Florida after May 10th for faster delivery during the hot season.
Orders shipping to Hawaii, Puerto Rico and US Virgin Islands must be shipped either USPS Priority Mail or FedEx Air and may be subject to additional shipping charges. We will contact you to discuss shipping fees if shipping cost exceeds our usual flat rate cost. All orders with pond supplies or hard goods only will be shipped out within 2 to 3 business days of receiving the order.
Below is our 2018 approximate shipping schedule for your plant orders. Many of the plants will not be available to ship until late March or Mid-April. Hardy plants are shipped according to the schedule below. Tropical plants are held longer, as water temperatures need to be at least 65 degrees for the plants to thrive. Orders are held based on your low night-time temperatures. Once your night time temperatures are no longer below 50 degrees, it is safe to transplant water garden plants. Last frost date is not a good indicator, as the water is still too cold for most pond plants. We check Accu-weather regularly and ship your plants when we feel it is safe for the plants to survive and thrive outdoors.
If you would like your order shipped immediately, please write a comment to "Ship Now" when placing your order and we will be happy to do so as long as the plants are available. Shipping plants early does void our plant guarantees.Zone 10-11 - NOW (Weather Permitting and Subject to Availability)
Zone 9 - MID-MARCH (Weather Permitting and Subject to Availability)
Zone 8 - END OF MARCH - BEGINNING OF APRIL - (Tropicals May be Held Longer Depending on Spring Weather Conditions)
Zone 7 (East of the Rockies) - MID-APRIL (Tropicals May be Held Longer Depending on Spring Weather Conditions)
Zone 7 (West of the Rockies) - END-APRIL (Tropicals May be Held Longer Depending on Spring Weather Conditions)
Zone 6 - EARLY MAY (Tropicals May be Held Longer Depending on Spring Weather Conditions)
Zone 5 - MID MAY - END OF MAY (Tropicals May be Held Longer Depending on Spring Weather Conditions)
Zone 4 - END OF MAY - FIRST OF JUNE (Tropicals May be Held Longer Depending on Spring Weather Conditions)
Zone 3 - FIRST OF JUNE
Our shipping schedule is approximate for most of our hardy plants. Tropical plants are held longer due to weather patterns in some zones. During shipping season we check weather constantly to try our best to ship the plants when it is safe to plant them outside. Shipping plants before zone appropriate does void our plant guarantee. If you request for us to ship plants, snails or tadpoles when we feel temperatures and weather conditions are unsafe, it will void our live delivery guarantee. We hold orders here and ship them at the proper planting time for your zone.
If you would like your order shipped prior to the proper zone above for your area please leave a comment, such as, SHIP NOW PER CUSTOMER, in the comment section when checking out.
