Mermaid Plant | Proserpinaca Palustris

Mermaid is an excellent oxygenating pond plant. Mermaid weed will grow as a submerged pond plant or as an emergent bog plant (rooted in shallow water and having most of its vegetative growth above water). It receives nutrients from the water and helps keep water clear. This is an excellent submerged pond plant for small fish to hide in. Use one bunch for every 2 square feet of surface area. Simply attach weights and it will sink to the bottom of the pond, or plant in a small basket.
