Duckweed | Lemna Minor | 1/2 LB.
Large 1/2 LB Portions - Duckweed is the smallest floating pond plant. The leaves are a bright green and only reach 1/8 inch in diameter. This is a favorite treat for your pond fish and a favorite food for turtles. Duckweed forms specialized buds called turions in the fall. These starchy structures sink to the bottom of the pond and lie dormant through the winter. When water temperatures rise in the spring, the turions activate, float back to the surface, and resume growing.
