Trapdoor Snails (Viviparis malleatus) are live-bearing. These creatures eat algae, decaying leaves, leftover fish food and will help keep your water garden clean. They are helpful controlling bottom sludge and hair algae. Japanese Trapdoors are one of the few species  that will survive northern climates.
