Duckweed – Floating Pond Plant for Fish Food & Natural Filtration

Tiny Fast-Growing Plant That Feeds Fish and Regenerates Each Season

Duckweed is the smallest floating pond plant, featuring bright green leaves that measure just 1/8 inch across. This fast-growing aquatic plant provides natural surface coverage, helping to shade the water and reduce algae growth while serving as a nutritious food source for fish and turtles. In fall, duckweed forms specialized buds called turions that sink to the bottom and remain dormant through winter. As temperatures warm in spring, they rise back to the surface and begin growing again, ensuring reliable seasonal regeneration. Suitable for a wide range of conditions from full sun to shade, duckweed is an easy and effective addition to any pond ecosystem. Available in multiple portion sizes, it’s ideal for both small and large water gardens. Please note: regulations may apply in certain areas—always follow local guidelines and never release into natural waterways.
